I became involved with Texas Longhorns in 2003 with the purchase of two heifers from my neighbor in Era, Texas.  These heifers were straight WR cattle, and Belle and Reba were a joy to own. Soon after that, I began attending TLBAA sales and became very interested in the cattle industry....then, like most longhorn lovers, bought too many cows for the acreage I had, bought more land, leased more land.....and so, the website you see now is the culmination of my love for Texas Longhorn cattle.

Since that time, I have learned much about my cattle: their husbandary, their life cycle and their marketing. I have served as a director for the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association, and I am a founding investor for the Texas Longhorn Marketing Association. I have traveled to different states to meet other breeders, attended informational seminars, and have made countless friends who share a love for longhorned cows. In fact, longhorned cattle helped me meet my future husband, Scott Schumacher.

Scott and I have AI'd all our cattle this year to leading industry bulls, JP Rio Grande, Awesome Viagra and Awesome Martin Luther. We encourage any rancher or small acreage owner to invest in quality, registered Texas Longhorns. They are beautiful, fun, and can yield great returns on your investment with just a little research. Longhorn breeders are great people, and the longhorn industry events are a ton of fun. For those who have children, you would be amazed at the scholarship funds available throught the Autobahn Show Circuit for kids who show longhorn cattle.
